It’s Ravens vs Browns. The Ravens made a huge statement in the AFC North with their win over the Steelers last week and now get a Thursday night game against a Browns team that is still searching for their first win of 2016.
Prediction: Baltimore 28, Cleveland 10
Thursday night gets the week started with the Ravens vs. Browns week 10 as the Ravens try to fight off Pittsburgh and Cincinnati for the AFC North crown and the Browns try to find their first win of the season. We think the Ravens should do the expected and win comfortably in the Ravens vs. Browns, but crazy things can still happen on Thursday night.
We think the Ravens might take awhile to get out of the gate after a slugfest with the Steelers Sunday, but we think their overall roster talent and depth will eventually allow them to pull away from Cleveland and their limited offense. The Browns having to travel on a short week after playing Sunday will also likely play a factor in the Browns fading as Ravens vs. Browns goes on Thursday night.
As far as how the Ravens vs. Browns will play out. It is likely that the Ravens will keep the ball on the ground, exploit the Browns’ run defense (which is the second-worst in the league) and try to shorten the game on the short week. The Ravens do not have a very good rushing offense, averaging just 81 yards per-game and scoring just five touchdowns on the ground so far this year, but the Browns surrender rushing yards so easily, the Ravens will likely find some success running the ball.
