The playoff field got mostly settled this weekend. The Saints, Panthers, Chiefs, and Rams are all in, and the Cowboys are officially out. There are now six teams left fighting for three open spots.

Ezekiel Elliott’s return did not fix the Cowboys’ offense

Dallas Cowboys mustered only 12 points even with RB Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield. The offense allowed four sacks, Dez had a horrible receiving day, and the team turned the ball over three times against a defense that was recently embarrassed by the Rams.

Todd Gurley showed us why he’s an MVP candidate

Ram RB Gurley trampled the Titans on Sunday. Gurley amazed has he piled up 276 yards from scrimmage in L.A.’s 27–23 win which helped the team clinch both the NFC West title and fantasy championship games around the country.

Brees joins elite QBs

Drew Brees became just the third quarterback in NFL history to pass for over 70,000 yards in his career on Sunday. He still trails Peyton Manning (71,940 yards) and Brett Favre (71,838 yards).

Joe Flacco is finally turning on.

Before December, Joe had nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions through 11 games. In four games during the last month on the calendar, Flacco has seven touchdowns, one interception, and a 98.2 passer rating.
