Giants Path to Postseason: Best QB – WR Duo? Eli Manning & Odell Beckham Jr Paving the Way to the Playoffs

Best QB – WR Duo? After winning four-straight games (three of them against serious playoff contenders), it appears the New York Giants may be going to the playoffs in 2016-17. Led by the re-emergence of Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. as an unstoppable QB WR duo which is one of the best in the NFL,  the Giants are now 6-3, just two games behind the Cowboys in the NFC East and in prime position for a wild card spot if they can’t win the division.

With the best record of any non-division leader in the NFC, the path to the playoffs is looking very clear for the Giants, especially if Manning and Beckham Jr. can continue to be a QB WR duo the rest of the league is terrified of. Manning and Beckham Jr. have connected 27 times for more than 400 yards and five touchdowns during the Giants’ four-game winning streak and that red-hot connection might be the spark that results in the Giants going to the playoffs.

If the season ends with the Giants going to the Playoffs, led by the QB WR duo of Manning and Beckham Jr. as a wild card team, it might be a sign for the team. The Giants won Wild Card Playoff games to spark their last two Super Bowl Championship runs.

The Giants going to the playoffs seems like a huge accomplishment given the team’s slow start, but some are not stopping at simply believing the Giants are a playoff team. Beckham Jr. was quoted earlier this week as saying the Giants are capable of winning the Super Bowl this season.

While the Giants winning the Super Bowl after a 2-3 start seems a little crazy, keep in mind that the Giants started 0-2 when they won the Super Bowl in 2007 and were 7-7 before they went on their Super Bowl run in 2011. So, even though the Giants going to the playoffs seems to the be the goal for the slow-starting team right now, going on to win the Super Bowl when they get there isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
