The Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys 2017 divisional playoff game will take place this Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. It’s a matchup between the NFC’s best team and the conference’s hottest team. Dallas finished the regular season with a 13-3 record and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Green Bay has won seven consecutive games, and they’ve nearly tied the Cowboys for the NFC’s best Super Bowl odds. Both teams are very strong and fairly balanced so it’s going to be an intense game. Aaron Rodgers has been on a roll since they turned their season around, and he looks pretty much unstoppable. Dak Prescott has been far from average this year too, so it will come down to which QB can outperform the other. We think that the Packers will come out on top this game, but by a close margin. Our NFL score prediction is 28-23 favoring Green Bay.

Packers vs. Cowboys Score Prediction: Packers 28, Cowboys 23

Following their victory on Wild-Card Weekend over the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers will visit the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday’s divisional round. The winner will move onto the NFC Championship Game a week later in the 2017 NFL playoffs. The NFL rumor mill has been saying that many have this game circled as the marquee game of the weekend – and for good reason. The Packers and Cowboys are two of the most historic franchises in the NFL, and many experts believe the winner of this game will be the NFC conference representative in Super Bowl 51.

This game will be determined by which quarterback performs the best, and right now Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescott are two of the best in the game. While many feel the Packers have the edge at QB with Aaron Rodgers, Dallas’ Dak Prescott has played beyond his years this season. Prescott hasn’t looked like a rookie one bit in 2016. However, his first game in 2017 will be the biggest of his young NFL career.

This is a much different Packers team than the one that lost to the Cowboys 30-16 in Week 6. While the Packers got off to a slow start this season, they are playing like legitimate Super Bowl contenders, in large part because of their offense. However, with the latest NFL news of Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson possibly missing time due to a rib injury, Green Bay has an even steeper hill to climb if they want to defeat the Cowboys on the road.

Dallas is back in the playoffs after an incredible 13-3 season, and with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, they’re probably pretty happy to see the Giants out of the playoffs since they were the only team to beat the Cowboys twice this season. The Cowboys’ defense was good enough in the regular season, ranking 5th in points allowed, though it might not be equipped to stop Green Bay with the way Rodgers is playing.

The game will be a bit of a toss up, but when it comes down to it, the Packers have more playoff experience and Rodgers is hard to go against. Even if Nelson is out, which will be a big hit to the Packers, we still think they are the more confident choice. Our NFL score prediction for this game is 28-23 in favor of Green Bay.
