It’s All-Star Weekend! While most of the league rests up for the remainder of the season, we’re cranking up the action!
Want to predict if Isaiah Thomas will beat DeMarcus Cousins in the skills competition? You think Klay Thompson will defend his championship in the three-point contest? How about Aaron Gordon winning the Slam Dunk Contest with a 360 between-the-legs dunk? Will Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook play nice now that they’re on the same team again (for one night only) during Sunday’s big game?
Well, we hope you tune in as we produce NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the 66th annual NBA All-Star Game for the first time ever!
WHEN DOES WINVIEW’S NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND BEGIN?
The action kicks off at 8pm ET on Saturday, Feb 18 at The Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on TNT. The evening showcases three different events and features some of the NBA’s biggest and brightest stars.
On Sunday, the 66th annual NBA All-Star Game tips off at 8pm ET as well with defending All Star MVP Russell Westbrook, KD, Steph and last year’s ASG winning Western Conference taking on King James and the beasts of the Eastern Conference for NBA bragging rights.
SATURDAY CONTEST SCHEDULE
- The first is the Taco Bell Skills Challenge with four smalls and four bigs going head-to-head against each other simultaneously on an identical course, with the fastest finisher reaching the next round. That means a potential finals could feature former Kentucky teammates Boogie Cousins and John Wall facing each other!
- Next up is the JBL Three-Point Contest, where the purest of shooters will compete against one another as they try to rain in as many threes as they can in only a minute. GS Shooting Guard Klay Thompson looks to defend his crown but look out for CLE Point Guard Kyrie Irving to be tough competition as we was victorious in 2013.
- Last, the participants in the Verizon Slam Dunk Contest will look to bring down the house in NOLA as I anticipate to see some dunks that have never been done before on Saturday night. Magic forward Aaron Gordon is the heavy favorite in the Dunk Contest, looking to avenge a narrow (some say undeserved) loss last year. Other participants include Clippers star center DeAndre Jordan, Suns forward Derrick Jones, Jr, and Pacers forward Glenn Robinson III.
With the lights at their brightest, will you be able to predict which stars rise to the occasion and which ones fall short? There’s only one way to find out!
WinView Game is 100% free to play, and legal in every state in the U.S.
